What's in your feed

Social media can be so damaging to women and girls. Images of "perfection" and one version of beauty are constantly bombarding us and creating more stress in our lives. 

But social media doesn't have to be the devil incarnate. We have a choice, regardless of algorithms, to see what we want to see.  

Here is what I suggest. Spend a few minutes a day searching for specific hashtags and fill your feed with diverse images of women of all colours, shapes and sizes. Find joyful imagery, colourful design, heck just follow every tiny animal account you come across and fill your feed with positive imagery. Over time you will find yourself changing what you consider to be normal and will judge yourself and other women less harshly. I've been doing it for about a year now and it makes a huge difference to my state of mind.
